隨著成長,這位怪朋友的影子可能漸行漸遠,逐漸被「成熟」的我們遺忘。

歌詞中 “opting for a hard way of chasing milestone, rapping for my enthusiasm”, Ben 執筆時希望與有想法又奇怪的年輕Young Freak奮鬥者產生共鳴。

經歷高低, "I been though darkness, I been through hell " , “no matters highs or lows I'll show my worth” 則道出Ben 「有夢想、不甘平凡,但同時可能經歷過家庭、學校、社會磨練,卻不願放棄心中那個想成為世界冠軍的夢想」的心聲。

作為Ben以自由身復出的頭炮,Ben打破傳統,首次以唱作人身份,包辦歌曲的曲、詞、監製、Cover封面繪畫及MV執導,以全英文歌詞唱出年輕人的奮鬥故事和心聲,道出他過往一年從沈澱到重生的心路歷程。

Young Freak雖以英文為歌詞,主打國際化,但是Ben心底卻不忘他的廣東歌及街舞文化的根基,希望發揮自己的影響力,將香港本地文化、街舞及嘻哈文化推廣出去:“Turn up HK wilding like we live in Vegas” 以及 “from zero to a hunnid bout to claim my glory”,鼓勵香港年輕人未來還有很多希望和機會,只要振作便可改變環境。過程之中,可能遭受冷眼,但只要依然選擇堅持自我,打破常規,釋放自己的潛力,這樣才可活出精彩人生。
